Truthfully?

I don’t think every photographer is meant for every person… and honestly, that’s a beautiful thing.

Because photography is SO much more than just liking someone’s editing style.

It’s energy.

Connection.

Comfort.

Personality.

Trust.

And if I’m being honest… I’m probably not the quiet, super serious photographer who stands silently in the corner all day.

I’m emotional.

I’m loud sometimes.

I overshare.

I hype people up nonstop.

And there’s a VERY high chance I’ll become emotionally attached to your family by the end of our session.

The Type of Photographer I Am

I’m the photographer fixing your dress while trying not to cry during your vows. The one showing you the back of my camera every five seconds because I get too excited!

The one hyping you up like your personal cheerleader:

“STOPPPP YOU LOOK SO GOOD.”
“WAIT THIS IS SO CUTE.”
“OH MY GOD IM OBSESSED.”

And honestly? I wouldn’t want it any other way

Fair Warning… “One More Photo” Is Never Just One

Also… fair warning...  If I say: “Okay wait, just ONE more…” Please know there’s a very high chance that’s a lie LOL. Because somehow “one more” usually turns into another 100 photos when I get excited. Truthfully, I have SO much fun during sessions that sometimes they accidentally run longer than planned because I get carried away capturing all the little moments. (Definitely something I’m still working on )

My Brain Never Stops During Sessions

And honestly? My brain never stops during sessions. I’m constantly thinking of random ideas, random poses, random locations, or weird little things that somehow end up creating the BEST photos.  One second I might be hyping you up… the next I’m telling you to:

“Run over there really quick.”
“Spin.”
“Whisper something chaotic in his ear.”
“Okay wait HOLD ON this lighting is EVERYTHING.”

And sometimes you’ll probably either: start laughing hysterically OR wonder what is actually wrong with this girl... But that’s just me. I’m bubbly. I’m energetic. I get genuinely excited during sessions. And honestly? I think that energy helps people relax and just enjoy the moment instead of overthinking every little thing.

Why I Care So Deeply About My Clients

I care deeply about people. Not just the photos. The PEOPLE. Your story. Your relationships. Your babies. Your milestones. Your memories. That’s why my sessions aren’t about stiff poses or perfection. I want movement. Laughter. Chaos. Connection. The real moments... And truthfully? I’m not the photographer for everyone. And I don’t want to be... Because the people who connect most with my work usually care less about “perfect”… And more about feeling something. They want the laughter. The chaos. The real moments. The emotions they never want to forget. They want to feel present... not perform. And honestly? That’s where the magic happens... Because the best photos don’t happen when everything is perfectly posed. They happen when you feel safe enough to just be yourself .

The Magic Happens in the In-Between Moments

And listen… your kids do NOT need to sit perfectly still for me. Actually? Some of my favorite photos happen during the chaos: the running, the tickles, the snack breaks, the giggles, the moments in between. Because that’s real life!

Real Life Isn’t Perfect... And That’s Okay

One thing I get told all the time is how patient I am and honestly, that means so much to me. Especially with kids. I never expect toddlers to sit perfectly still. I never expect babies to magically smile on command. And I definitely never expect your family to look “perfect.” Because real life isn’t perfect;

Sometimes sessions are chaotic.

Sometimes kids need breaks.

Sometimes someone cries.

Sometimes we have to dance, make weird noises, chase toddlers around, or completely switch directions halfway through.

And honestly? That’s okay. I think patience creates comfort. And comfort creates genuine moments. I never want people feeling stressed, rushed, or overwhelmed during a session with me. I want you to feel safe enough to relax, laugh, be yourselves, and just enjoy the moment together.

For the Husbands, Fiancés & “I Hate Photos” Crew

And if your fiancé or husband “hates photos”… trust me, they are not the first and definitely won’t be the last... Half the time they leave saying: “Wait… that actually wasn’t bad.” Which honestly feels like the biggest compliment ever LOL.

Yes… I’ll Probably Cry During Your Session

I’m also probably going to cry during your first look. Cry during your vows. Cry during your motherhood session. Cry watching you hold your newborn. Cry during your baby’s first birthday photos because HOW ARE THEY ALREADY ONE. I can’t help it. I feel everything deeply.

You Deserve to Feel Seen

And maybe that’s why my clients become more than “just clients” to me. I genuinely care. You need recommendations? I got you. Need someone hyping you up before your wedding? I’m there. Need someone reminding you that you ARE beautiful and deserve to exist in photos too? Absolutely, I never want someone leaving a session only loving their photos. I want them leaving feeling: confident, seen, celebrated, comfortable, and loved exactly as they are. Because in a world full of comparison, filters, and social media pressure… I think people deserve spaces where they can just BE.

Why Connection Matters More Than Perfection

So no…

I may not be the photographer for everyone.

But if you want someone who:

feels more like a friend

embraces the chaos

loves candid moments

hypes you up nonstop

cries during emotional moments

and truly cares about YOU beyond the photos…

Then there’s a good chance we’ll probably become besties... And honestly? That’s exactly the kind of photography experience I always hoped to create.
